Puur Chocolate Studio

From the very beginning in 2006 the concept of Puur (Gouda, The Netherlands) was defined to combine the making and selling of chocolate in the same room. This creates an interaction with the customer at any time of day. Whether they want to drink an expresso or to buy chocolates. The store was designed in its own trendy style, un-Dutch and remembers more to New York or Barcelona. The use of pure materials such as glass, wood and stainless steel makes that the bonbons and other chocolate products are literally exhibited. Also the packages have a clean look. The concept is implemented in all its details from the stainless steel cappuccino cups to the logo on the doors of the toilet.

House of Wittamer

The first stone of the House of Wittamer was laid in 1910 by Henri Wittamer, on Place du Sablon (Belgium, Brussels). His son of the same name and his wife Yvonne gave birth and inspiration to Paul and Myriam Wittamer, who today are running one of the most famous patissiers chocolatiers.

Cacao Deco

Paul went to school in the other chocolate country. He returned from Switzerland dreaming of cacao. Myriam adores fashion, deco and art. Her creed? Always more, always better. Together, they apply the beautiful and the best to the world of chocolate and challenge the creativity of their workshop. Leslie, Myriam’s daughter, is taking her place in the company, which is keeping its resolutely family philosophy and size.

Artisan Pâtissier

Each day, Wittamer’s Master Pâtissiers are re-inventing the secrets of a successful blend between fame, innovation and craftsmanship. Resulting from this union, the macaroon, without question the establishment’s pride and joy, with flavours revisited each year on Macaroon Day (March 20th).
Other variations of the Wittamer know-how? Ices, patisseries, catering trays, up-market buffet lunches and successful special occasions.

Recognition

Wittamer is Official Supplier to the Court of Belgium and Member of the Relais Desserts Association. Its know-how moreover gives pleasure beyond the borders. The House of Sablon is exported to Japan, which is so fond of its gourmet delicacies that it is opening fifteen shops in the Land of the Rising Sun.

A tasty chocolate shopping experience

Zaabär (Brussels, Belgium) was created in 2007 by Jean-Francois Decarpentrie. "Zaabär" the name is inspired by the Bazaar of Istanbul. The association of Belgian chocolate with spices from around the globe offers a rich source of tastes and emotions. More than an innovation in terms of flavor, Zaabär also innovates by creating, in October 2008, the Zaabär Factory Shop, space dedicated to chocolate, both shop and workshop. This space of 600 m2 wonderfully designed invites visitors to explore the craft of chocolate through its workshop. Since 2009, Zaabär organizes tours and chocolate courses in its space. Companies, schools, tourists and individuals are invited to attend courses to learn how to make truffles, bars or spicy chocolate shapes. Zaabär sells its chocolates throughout the world, Belgium, of course, but also in France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan ... in a network of delicatessens and quality confectionery.
