Basics & Bespoke

The creation of this fashion clothing store for men was facing several challenges. Creating a warm and classic "Club" atmosphere, without falling into the "old fashioned". Coping with a limited investment and an interior design that lasts. 

The architect realised a balance between the past and present. Classical old furniture (closet, lamps, chairs ...) was married with contemporary interventions (black concrete waxed, raw steel, choice of colors ...). But these two opposites were linked by a common factor: authenticity.

USINA

Together under one roof, design objects, flowers, food and decoration. That is the concept of the store Usina (Luxembourg) who guided the architect and designer. Thus, an atmosphere has been developed to create an open access to the two neighboring shops, one florist, the other Italian grocery. The storefront is gray for sobriety and sophistication. Inside the different areas have their own identity but are clearly of the same family. Natural light is very present and store fixtures are designed for adaptability.

In Vino Gildas

This is not a conventional wine shop in Luxembourg. According to the wishes and philosophy of the owner, the reception area looks more like an art gallery preparing the next exhibition. An crude oak table five meters long is the heart of the shop. It is dominated by a white board showing the map of the world which also serves for writing during the workshops. With a predominance of black and careful use of white spots and a stylish green, the light structures the location. The winery is located at the end of the store in a remote space intentionally darker, this is the place for selection, discovery and choice.
