The store is backed by Mondrian-inspired features

LAuroraBlog

The storefront references the works of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, whose art features strong, dark lines and rectangular blocks of colour. Customers experience more of a sense of the bold colours of Mondrian, through the use of carpets with bright spots, swirls, prints and patterns and vibrant sofas that appear throughout the store to create a warm and welcoming, yet energetic vibe. 10 Corso Como

10 Corso Como (Milan, Italy) is not a typical shopping gallery. It was opened in 1990 as an art gallery and bookstore by Carla Sozzani, a prominent Italian gallerist and former Italian Vogue editor. In 1991 the clothing and accessories boutique followed. In 1999 the Corso Como café and restaurant were launched and in 2003 a small slick hotel was set up.

10 Corso Como offers unique and stylish collections of clothes, bags, shoes, book, CDs...all in tune with the newest Vogue trends. The prices are high, but there is good news for budget visitors - there is a Corso Como Outlet nearby where the collections at reduced prices can be found.

Dover Street Market

"I want to create a kind of market where various creators from various fields gather together and encounter each other in an ongoing atmosphere of beautiful chaos: the mixing up and coming together of different kindred souls who all share a strong personal vision."

"We hope to make DSM (London, UK) more and more interesting. I enjoy seeing all the customers coming to DSM dressed in their strong, good looking and individual way. I would like for DSM to be the place where fashion becomes fascinating." Rei KAWAKUBO

Tidy pine shelves are clearly ordered according to size, with both shoes of a pair on display, eliminating the need to wait while the other shoe is fetched from the store room. Shoe sizes are marked in both continental and British sizes. The ground floor is given over to medium-priced women's shoes in a light and pleasant retail environment. The men's and sportswear section downstairs is slightly smaller. Although it is in a basement, it is as light and accessible as the floor above.
